Michael Barzilaij is schrijver, filmer en regisseur. Hij maakte reportages, reclames en korte films voor zowel landelijke als regionale omroepen en nationale als internationale bedrijven en organisaties. Hij schreef, regisseerde, filmde en monteerde de documentaire Mijn leven als Deelder (VPRO) en schreef als journalist en columnist voor talloze bladen en online media. Cocky, Verzetsheldin uit Rotterdam was zijn eerste boek, zijn tweede boek Ome Sjaak Barzilaij - Godfather van Feyenoord is in de maak.
